How to Show Up On Instagram Even When Life Happens
We know how important it is to show up daily on Instagram and engage.
Showing up and engaging is necessary as it:
nurtures your current community
educates
builds connections and relationships
and establishes you as an authority figure.
BUT let’s get real… life happens!
We’ve all had those moments that take us by surprise and can have the potential to mess everything up!
My question to you is this: Are you going to let it mess everything up?
And of course, the correct answer is: Absolutely not!
Here are some tried and tested tips on…
How to show up even when life happens.
Plan your day/week/month
Have your month (day/week) set out before you and do some goal setting. Ask what you would like to achieve and how can you achieve it.
This could mean deciding when to launch an offer, provide trainings or record IGTV episodes. You’ll want to schedule admin tasks like creating invoices, organizing your Google Drive (see my tips for that right here), and researching hashtags for your Instagram captions.
Decide on your goals for a specific period and create an action plan for getting there!
Plan (and if possible create) your content in advance
This has been a life saver for me more times than I can count! You need a daily, weekly and monthly plan. What are you talking about on stories? Are you sticking with a theme for the month or week? Are you leading up to a launch?
If you can create content in advance, you’ll stay way ahead of the game. Tech savvy? Use a scheduling app like Tailwind or Later to schedule stories or captions so you don’t even need to lift a finger and your content still gets posted. Or simply save the videos/posts and have them ready to go whenever you want.
Find out what works best for you, but it’s a good idea to have a backup plan for those days when pancakes hit the fan.
Show up anyway
Show up as you are! People relate to authenticity. We identify with the struggles. Many of us are in the same situation and have certainly experienced ‘off’ days before. You’ll find so much support through being real.
Hire out tasks that you don’t need to be doing yourself
Step into that CEO role and outsource the tasks that are stealing your time or don’t require your special skill set.
Not only does this lessen overwhelm and save you time, it gives you the space to focus your attention on what you’re brilliant at. Believe me, your business will reap the rewards.
